Here are some of our favorite spots for sweet treats this holiday season. 

Starting close to the resort area, at Disney Springs, you’ll find a variety of unique and distinct bites. At Amorette’s Patisserie, you can feast upon edible works of art, tasty cakes, and delicate sweet crepes. At Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop you can partake in world-renowned chocolate nibbles that originate from the highest-quality cocoa beans or order from a  full menu of specialty sundaes. For themed eats, look no further than Disney’s Candy Cauldron where you’ll find decadent treats like ornately decorated cookies and other character-themed morsels. Goofy’s Candy Company offers traditional treats for the kid-at-heart like fudge, cotton candy, and rainbow-swirled lollipops. For a more refined sweets experience, head to The Ganachery and sample an amazing array of delectable chocolate bites including crispy chocolate pearls, chocolate lollipops, and custom-designed chocolate bars.

Over at Universal Orlando Resort, at Universal CityWalk, visit the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen for an exciting array of milkshakes, sundaes, and chocolates at this self-described “Eatery. Drinkery. Confectionery.” A glance at the menu offers a look into the extravagant offerings and highlights a special holiday bite, the Santa’s Cookies & Milkshake gourmet shake, complete with cookie butter ice cream, holiday sprinkles, and topped with a chocolate Christmas tree.  

Travel a bit north of the Disney World resort area to the Florida Mall and be treated to a world of sweets. We recommend checking out Lucciano’s Il Maestro del Gelato for artisanal ice pops and gelato and Carlo’s Bakery for cakes and pastries served up by a company that was established by the original owner of the bakery featured on TLC’s hit show Cake Boss, Carlos Guastaffero. Shake Shack is always a sure bet for a delicious shake or fresh-spun frozen custard, and Mr. Puffs Dessert Bar offers hard-to-find natural, vegan, egg-free, and lactose-free treat options. Plus, the Florida Mall has plenty of quick hits like Cinnabon, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Churro Mania, and Dippin’ Dots to meet your needs.

If convenience is key, order Crumbl Cookies and enjoy delivery directly to your Orlando-area hotel. This popular cookie chain offers more than 150 types of cookies that you can order for delivery online or through their mobile app. Each week chef-created specialty flavors are showcased, and you can request Crumbl’s “world’s best” chocolate chip cookie anytime.
